Any child wanting to attend our New Earswick Summer Camp who is currently receiving free school meals can get the camp paid for/massively subsidised through the 'Me Too' funding allocation. Ask your school to access this funding for you, quoting the 'Me Too' scheme. Your school will be able to sort this out and get you booked on through their 'Me Too' representative.

We recently ran a couple of sessions as part of the school's open day. Chorley based Westmoreland School currently hosts 27 children with varying behavioral problems.
The sessions were very well received, and together with their sister school Cumberland Secondary we will be providing more rugby league sessions in the new term. On a glorious day the children put a 100% into the sessions and really enjoyed meeting Scully and his coaches...before all tucking in to a fantastic BBQ!
After only previously playing Rugby Union, the Scully13 team have been actively running coaching sessions aimed at setting up several Rugby League teams at the school. The sessions have proved very popular with the students and we are hoping to build on this success next term. As a result of this, the year 7's will be travelling over the Pennines next month to take part in the Oldham 7's tournament.
Scully recently presented the Counthill Sports Awards, an evening to reward the young, gifted and talented sports people from the school. After a very successful year, the top awards (Sports Personalities of the year) were awarded to Kate Glynn and Daniel Yates, the latter a local youngster who has recently signed proffessional terms at St.Helens RLFC. Daniel also followed in Scully's footsteps in captaining England under 16's Schoolboys earlier this year. A fantastic achievement.

Scully 13 are currently involved in lengthly discussions with Barnsley College and Barnsley Broncos about further promoting RL in the area.
The clubs and schools currently playing RL in Barnsley are very minimal. Together with the Sports College we will be looking to help spread the sport in the area, as well as help in recruiting players for the Broncos.
Having worked in the school continuously for several months, Scully13 recently visited Breezehill School, who are merging with Counthill to form Waterhead Academy. We ran a series of training sessions. The school is predominantly Asian, and to say they had never tried Rugby League before we were pleasantly suprised, showing some great natural skill and enthusiasm. We had approx 80 students attend over the two sessions.
We are looking forward to working with both these schools and help build some good community links through the sport of RL.
Scully and his team recently spent a full day at Outwood Grange College in Wakefield, putting year 7, 8 and 9 pupils through their paces. On a baking hot day the students were given an insight into Super League training. The team put them through some tough conditioning drills, mixing in with skills sessions and modified games.
Scully13 are looking forward to working long term Outwood Grange College from September, and are currently discussing a number of initiatives that the school are wanting us to deliver. We are also running a summer camp here from 27 to 30 July.
The Scully13 Easter camps were a huge success, with four camps running at New Earswick, Stanningley, Featherstone Rovers RLFC and Morley RUFC. Scully attended every camp and helped put the youngsters through their paces. Featherstone Rovers stars Ian Hardman, Matty Dale and Jon Steel, alongside Castleford Tigers star Paul Jackson were also amongst the coaches delivering the sessions.
The feedback received from both players and parents was excellent. We look forward to revisiting these venues again in Summer.
